Mission

Sarkisov’s Brief exists to give students the knowledge and confidence they need to navigate school life with clarity and respect. Too often, teens are told to simply “follow the rules” without fully understanding what those rules mean—or where their personal rights begin and end. Whether it’s using the bathroom when you need to, expressing yourself freely through clothing or speech, protecting your privacy online, or dealing with conflicts with teachers and administrators, every student deserves to know how to advocate for themselves while staying safe and respectful.

Our mission is to break down complex laws and school policies into simple, practical advice that teens and young adults can actually use. We believe in empowerment through education: helping students understand not just what their rights are, but also how to assert them calmly and effectively, without escalating situations or putting themselves at risk. Through articles, guides, and real-world examples, we provide step-by-step strategies for navigating everyday school challenges, from dress codes to digital privacy to standing up for yourself in difficult conversations.

Most importantly, we emphasize balance: knowing your rights and your responsibilities. Our goal isn’t to encourage rebellion, but to help students work within the system to protect themselves and others, creating a safer, fairer, and more respectful school environment.

The right to think is the beginning of freedom, and speech must be protected from the government because speech is the beginning of thought.
